The St. Gallen University of Applied Sciences has developed a new course together with Namics. Interaction designers, user experience designers and interactive media designers are currently among the most sought-after specialists in the media industry. In order to meet the increasing demand in the long term, the St. Gallen University of Applied Sciences and Namics AG, which is also based there, jointly developed the six-semester part-time course. It is aimed at creative professionals from the classic graphic design environment, but also at front-end designers who want to expand their expertise in visual design. The course teaches exciting innovations in brand experience design, multi-device experience, usability, online marketing and many other areas. The course is unique in Eastern Switzerland and Zurich and was developed by Jana Nobel, Creative Director at Namics, and Alex Huldi, who also works as Senior Art Director at Namics, together with the School of Design, Continuing Education. Nobel will also be in charge of the course. "Interactive media designers are always in demand when excellent communication solutions are created for experience- and user-oriented digital systems, products and services. These can be websites, cross-media campaigns, online business reports, digital magazines, online stores or apps," says Kathrin Lettner, Head of Department at the School of Design, Continuing Education, explaining the need to train precisely these skills: "Leading international companies are going digital and need outstanding digital solutions for their brand communication, products and services. Even after 20 years of digital media, there are still too few creatives for the challenges of digital brand management. However, the budgets on the customer side in the area of digital media are growing from year to year. The challenges for digital solutions are also growing. With this course, we want to make a contribution to redressing this imbalance. "More about the course here.
