New BSW Board of Directors
At its general meeting, the Swiss Association of Advertising and Communications Agencies (BSW) elected Hervé Devanthéry (Synthèse, Ecublens) and Christoph Kaufmann (OMD Switzerland, Zurich)
At its general meeting, the industry association of Swiss advertising and communications agencies (BSW) elected Hervé Devanthéry (Synthèse, Ecublens), Christoph Kaufmann (OMD Switzerland, Zurich), Peter Leutenegger (FCB Leutenegger Krüll, Wallisellen) and Andreas Widmer (Futurecom Interactive, Zurich) as new members of the board. Kaufmann and Widmer are the first representatives of media and specialist agencies to sit on the BSW Board, while Fredy Collioud (Publicis, Zurich) and Peter Felser have resigned from the Board. According to the Articles of Association, he must leave the Board when he resigns from Advico Young & Rubicam.
As expected, Hanspeter Detsch (TBWA Switzerland) was elected President. The new president-elect, who will take over the presidency next year, is Dominique von Matt (Jung von Matt/Limmat).
Following her departure from Publicis, Zurich, at the end of 2001, Diana Strebel may no longer be a member of the Board of Directors. She is stepping down until her new position is known. Should she return to work at a BSW agency, she will sit on the Board again (ba).
