Press Ringier is currently working on a new zero number for the "Neue Zeitung" project. This was confirmed to Werbewoche by Ringier's media developer Jacques Pilet, but there is no calendar yet for the next steps. Project manager Rudolf Bächtold is tight-lipped. He says that feedback on the announcement of the newspaper plans is currently being processed. The composition of the project group is adapting to requirements on an ad hoc basis. There is nothing more to say - "that's zero news at the moment", he dictates to Werbewoche.
Ringier's intention to launch a sophisticated, daily news magazine was made public by SonntagsZeitung in March. The tabloid title would be sold individually at newsstands or at a combined price with Blick.
