Neue Luzerner Zeitung: More news on train and bus
The Neue Luzerner Zeitung and its regional editions are expanding their presence on public transportation. Bus and train passengers in four cantons are now also provided with regional and national news in text and images on Passenger TV.
For some time now, numerous buses and trains in central Switzerland have been equipped with dual screens on which the latest news can be read, according to the press release. Commuters can thus use their travel time to find out about current events in Switzerland and around the world.
Now, according to the announcement, the news offering is to be tailored even more specifically to the needs of passengers in central Switzerland. To this end, the Bern-based company Livesystems, which operates the Passenger TV passenger information system, is entering into a cooperation with the Neue Luzerner Zeitung. As a result, from October 1, the Neue LZ's online editorial team will no longer only supply the buses of the Luzern public transport company (VBL) with the latest news, but also a further 262 screens in the cantons of Lucerne, Nidwalden, Obwalden and Uri. The focus will be on regional reporting.
