Maxomedia: App lets young people collect kilometers
Maxomedia has developed an app for SBB Gleis7 that entertains and rewards young people on train rides.
With the "Entertrainment" app, young public transport users can check in to the train they are currently using. The app then automatically checks out again at the destination station, according to a statement. Every kilometer traveled is credited to a personal account on Gleis7.ch and converted into points. The young people can exchange the credits they earn for music and products from the Gleis7 store.
"Entertrainment" also shows who else has checked in on the train. Friends and acquaintances found can be contacted directly in the app. The chat function should also make it easy for young people to get to know new people from the community, according to the statement. It will be possible to compliment the person sitting next to you or challenge them to a game of Four Wins.
The app has been improved again after a test phase last year: According to the announcement, the kilometer collection works better with the car checkout and if the data transmission should ever break off, the user is immediately notified. In addition to the existing 16 trophies, train riders can now hunt for a further eight trophies such as "Landei", "Tausendsassa" or "Wilhelm Tell".
