Martin et Karczinski wins mandate from the AO Foundation
The AO Foundation, an organization dedicated to knowledge transfer and continuing education for surgeons with a global presence and headquartered in Davos, has commissioned Martin et Karczinski to redesign its digital information architecture.

The project scope includes the information offerings of all digital media of the AO Foundation, the surgical departments for continuing education and research, and the country organizations. Also included in the project is the brand architecture as a higher level of information. Since its foundation in 1958, the AO has developed into a global competence network for surgery with more than 20,000 members from over 100 countries. Its digital information architecture is now complex and no longer ideally tailored to user needs.
The agency Martin et Karczinski, based in Zurich and Munich, and its cross-location team of experts prevailed in a multi-stage bidding process. The new information architecture will be developed on the basis of extensive research that includes quantitative data analysis as well as qualitative surveys. The qualitative analysis consists of around 50 in-depth interviews on the one hand and web-based surveys on sociographic and psychological personality profiles of users on the other. The newly designed "digital landscape" is to be implemented in the last quarter of the year.
