Manpower index points slightly upwards
Job Market: The job index from the employment agency Manpower is raising hopes that the slump in job postings is coming to an end.
The job market The job index published by employment agency Manpower raises hopes of an end to the crisis in job advertisements, with the index rising by 0.5 points in March, as it did in February, and now stands at 31.5 points across Switzerland. Indexed job vacancies in the daily press increased in six of the 13 regions surveyed, writes Manpower, namely in Aargau, Basel, Bern, Fribourg, St.Gallen and Solothurn. The index fell in Geneva, Lucerne, Schaffhausen, Valais and Vaud, while it remained unchanged in Biel and Zurich.
