Laax wins award in China
Laax was named the best European ski destination by the Chinese «Best of Travel» media group.
Best of Travel is the leading business to business medium of the Chinese travel industry. Several ski destinations were honored in China on December 12, 2016. Laax received the award as best European ski destination in front of more than 400 invited guests of the Chinese travel industry in Beijing's luxury Hotel Chao.
China as an interesting winter sports market
The award as the best winter sports destination in Europe recognizes Laax for its position and quality as an integrated ski resort. But also the intensive and successful efforts in the Chinese market are honored, especially in addressing the new Chinese ski guest. "This award proves that we are on the right track in China and that our long-term strategy and investments are already bearing fruit and gaining recognition in the Chinese market," says Reto Gurtner, CEO of the Weissen Arena Group.
Among the guests of honor at the evening were high-ranking representatives of numerous worldwide tourist boards, airlines, hotels and service companies, as well as the chairman of the "Chinese Tourism Academy", Dai Bin.
