Jobs.ch and Xing: job market and social network together
The Swiss online job board Jobs.ch is relaunching its executive job portal Topjobs.ch and has entered into a partnership with Xing to do so. Going forward, Topjobs.ch will combine the features of an online job board with those of a social business network.
Job seekers can find their personal Xing contacts at potential employers. The results show the job seeker which of his Xing contacts are employed by the companies matching his profile. In this way, he is able to get in touch directly with people from his personal and professional environment who are already working at the suggested companies and gain in-depth insight into the company.
The new search technology also matches candidate profiles and vacancies and prioritizes advertisements that match specific search preferences of the job seeker. The search results also lead to recruiters who are identified from the more than 300 contacts in a headhunter and recruiter directory and with whom job seekers can contact directly using the contact form.
The job offers appear automatically not only on Topjobs.ch but also on the Jobs.ch online job market and on Xing.com. This gives employers more direct access to a large pool of interested candidates. In addition, the new service meets the need of job seekers to orient themselves to their social environment when reorienting themselves professionally, comments Mark Sandmeier, CEO of Jobs.ch.
