Jean-Claude Frick new as Digital & Telecom Expert at Comparis
Comparis is expanding its Digital & Telecom division and is bringing Jean-Claude Frick on board. In recent years, he has made a name for himself in the Swiss digital scene as a radio speaker, freelance tech journalist and with his own blog iFrick.
Frick will take on the role of digital and telecoms expert at the Swiss internet comparison service with immediate effect. Together with Christoph Glaus, who has been on board as Digital & Telecom Media Spokesperson since January 2016, Jean-Claude Frick will redesign the media and content work for Comparis.ch on all topics relating to the digital economy.
"With Jean-Claude Frick, we are gaining a proven digital expert who has a well-founded opinion on gadgets of all kinds as well as global trends in the digital sector and the Comparis core topic of comparing telecom tariffs," says Comparis CEO Paul Kummer. "His extensive know-how and his journalistic way of thinking will support us enormously in the transformation of our existing telecom area into a content platform for digital topics."
Frick began his professional career at Radio Förderband in Bern. Here he oversaw the construction of Switzerland's first fully digital radio studio. In 2001, he co-founded a company specializing in the digitalization of radio stations. At the same time, he worked as a freelance tech journalist for Berner Zeitung, Sonntagszeitung and Watson.ch, among others, and collaborated internationally with industry magazines such as Techcrunch and T3N. Jean-Claude Frick attends all major industry events such as the IFA in Berlin, the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and the CES in Las Vegas, where he discusses the digital future with decision-makers. Frick has been reporting as a tech expert for various Swiss radio stations since 2009 and has had his own show, "Der digitale Durchklick", on Radio Energy since February 2016.
