International Radio Festival: On Air from August 14
ADVERTISEMENT The latest figures prove it once again: Radio remains the medium with the widest reach and the greatest influence of our time. At the 6th International Radio Festival, which will take place in Zurich from August 14 to 30, 2015, the focus will once again be on current trends and the future of the audio medium. The radio program will be framed by keynote speeches and workshops. The world's first photo collection, which focuses on radio producers from all over the world, will also be presented. "Radio Faces" thus dispels the rumor that radio people have faces that are only made for radio. The accompanying SwissRadioDay with speeches by Federal Councillor Doris Leuthard and radio legend Mark Ramsey will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2015, and is a radio festival in a class of its own: over 50 radio stations with more than 80 radio creators will be broadcasting from Zurich to the world from August 14 to 30. The broadcasts will be in the respective national language and will reach an audience of millions worldwide during this time. Prince was one of the founders of pirate radio in the 1950s and 1960s and is President of the IRF Advisory Board. Another program highlight is the broadcast by sound artist Chiara Luzzana from Italy, who recorded music for the Swatch watch brand using sounds from the Swatch factory. Columnist Mark van Huisseling, BBC presenter Jericho Keys, Austrian musician Richard Dorfmeister, former Kiss FM boss Gordon Mac (who turned London and the entire radio world upside down in the 80s) and many more will also contribute a program to the program. here.
