Radio French-speaking Switzerland is to receive a new information channel. The project of Radio Suisse Romande (RSR) must first be approved by the SRG Central Council and then by the Federal Council, which will give its opinion on the project on March 27, explained RSR Director Gérard Tschopp in response to a report in the AZ Mittelland Zeitung. Following a positive decision by the Federal Council, the broadcaster would need 12 to 15 months to realize the project. The new channel will broadcast news every quarter of an hour.
