High voltage: campaign for e-recycling
High voltage raises awareness with the slogan "Lös dich. Brings zrugg." on behalf of the Sens Foundation for the recycling of disused and defective electrical appliances.
Following an agency evaluation, the Sens Foundation decided in summer 2013 to implement the communication of the new message as part of the strategy implementation with the Zurich agency Hochspannung. To launch the multi-year campaign, a broad-based poster campaign was launched on November 1 with the slogan "Lös dich. Brings zrugg." was launched. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness in Switzerland, which is a world leader in recycling, that more specific electrical and electronic appliances such as lights, toys and musical instruments should also be returned.
According to the press release, Swiss households and cellars still contain large quantities of electrical and electronic appliances that are defective or long outdated. The campaign designed by Hochspannung aims to get the population even more involved and get rid of disused appliances - even if they have grown fond of their electric guitar, megaphone, chandelier or electric toy.
In order to communicate the message to the general public, the first wave of the campaign will focus on posters, with two motifs currently in use. One of these was created through the Sens Foundation's partnership with the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation, for which national coach Sean Simpson and the captain of the Swiss national ice hockey team, Mathias Seger, stood in front of the camera. The microsite Brings-zrugg.ch was also developed.
The next wave of communication is already in the planning and realization phase with the use of a TV commercial and various online measures.
