Hauser & Partner realizes facelift for Yamaha sales areas of the Hostettler company
Hauser & Partner carried out the redesign of the Hostettler retail spaces. The task was to develop a distinctive retail concept for motorcycle apparel—in accordance with Yamaha’s guidelines—that is to be implemented throughout Switzerland.

The focus was on the realignment of the sales areas, partly also under architectural aspects. As Yamaha's general importer, and taking into account existing Yamaha guidelines, the company commissioned Hostettler Hauser & Partner to develop an independent retail concept for motorcycle clothing that could be implemented throughout Switzerland. In addition to specially designed merchandise carriers and merchandising elements, this concept includes a labeling script that is based on the Yamaha CI/CD, but is still autonomous, comprehensible, legible, modern and modular. Specially developed by Hauser & Partner for Hostettler, the playful element Kids Race completes the appearance. Kids Race simulates a motorcycle ride integrated into a video game. Already integrated into four centers, Kids Race is one of the main attractions on the sales floors.

The development of the modular system, which is geared towards biker clothing, required a detailed inventory in advance. The result is a selection of flexible support and merchandising elements that can be used on any size of sales floor. Changing rooms with freedom of movement and inviting lounge areas are among the complementary elements. To meet the demand for optimized merchandise presentation, the spatial concept was adapted in some properties. A detailed labeling script supports communication with regard to area labeling, price communication and signaling. The implementation of the retail concept in the three large centers in Fribourg, Sion and Kriens as well as in three other retail areas has been completed, and further centers and retail areas are in the planning stage.
