Kirchhofer, Basel, is promoting a Bible that is available at Dutti's stores
Kirchhofer, Basel, promotes a Bible that is available in Dutti's storesThe power of the church is crumbling. More and more flocks are doing well without a shepherd. Out of this plight of priests and pastors preaching to empty pews, the faith ministry Christ for All (Cfa) has designed a large-scale sales promotion campaign for the New Testament that has received the blessing of theologians of all shades. In order to bring the Gospel to the people, despite the flight from the church, the Christian activists are using the branch network of the major retailer Migros as a sales channel. The campaign was preceded by a comprehensive redesign of the New Testament: the Bible, which is on sale between the milk and honey shelves for ten francs, was adapted by the Swiss Bible Society to modern reading habits both linguistically and visually. The campaign is flanked by a B12 poster campaign. The less missionary advertising flute for the nationwide sheep hunt was played by the Basel advertising agency Kirchhofer. Page 10
