Go Slow creates accessible website for FIB

The Bern-based agency Go Slow developed the logo and the accessible website for the newly established Center for Individual Needs Assessment (FIB).

The Fachstelle für individuelle Bedarfsermittlung (FIB) is a new specialist unit in Muri bei Bern commissioned by the Canton of Bern. Its task from January 1, 2024 is to support people with disabilities in drawing up the "Individual Support Plan" (IHP). This is a questionnaire used to record the individual needs and life goals of people with disabilities.

The motto for the structure and content of the website was therefore: simple, crystal clear and accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities. All web pages can be accessed in "normal" and easy-to-read language and are equipped with a read-aloud function. The contrasts and font sizes can be individually adjusted.

New law from January 1, 2024

The background to the newly created specialist unit is the new Bernese law on benefits for people with disabilities (BLG). It comes into force on January 1, 2024. It requires people with disabilities to be able to live, live, work and organize their leisure time as independently as people without disabilities whenever possible. If this requires financial resources that go beyond IV and other conventional benefits, the Canton of Bern will bear these costs. This additional need is determined by means of an individual needs assessment.

FIB is part of the Schönenberger company in Muri near Bern. The company won the contract following a tender.
