"GhostBrackers": Brack and Andy Was Right go on a ghost hunt

Not a traditional campaign, but a real-life product test under «horrible» conditions: that’s how the e-commerce company Brack is marking the 2025 Halloween season. The company is being supported by the Zurich-based agency Andy Was Right.

There are also places in Switzerland that are very popular with ghost hunters: A hotel in Val Sinestra, for example, which was once a spa clinic and is said to have a veritable house ghost, "Hermann". A ruined castle in Tegerfelden, where the so-called "Key Maiden" is said to be up to mischief. Or Neu-Bechburg Castle in Oensingen, where the robber baron "Kuoni" is still taking revenge for being walled up alive by his own people.

"Because Brack has all the products in its range to track down these ghosts," says Roman Reichelt, Chief Marketing Officer at Brack, "we decided to go and see what the ghost stories are all about."

Mini documentary in four episodes

The result is a mini-documentary in four episodes, which has been played "social first" on Instagram and TikTok since last Friday and is available on the Brack website. It shows how Brack employees Joy Meier and Stéphanie Süess are sent to Val Sinestra, Tegerfelden and Oensingen by their supervisor and spiritual father of the campaign, Johannes Hapig - without knowing a script, which is why all the scary moments are real. Brack proves to be the supplier not only of Halloween festivities (decorations, confectionery, costumes), but also of all outdoor adventures this fall (tents, sleeping bags, headlamps). "It's a small, fine campaign," Reichelt continues, "but we are convinced that there is something in every theme, you just have to unpack it."

Andy Was Right: Night shoots and creativity

Brack received comprehensive support from the Zurich agency Andy Was Right for the creative concept as well as production and post-production. The team managed the complex night shoots, took care of post-production and the entire social media orchestration: "A ghost hunt is not an everyday occurrence for us either," says agency boss Roger Hämmerli, "but we are very, very happy with the result." Hämmerli adds that the employees at Andy Was Right also "came out of it more or less well". At the same time, he now knows who in his team believes in ghosts. And concludes with a laugh: "The very people I wouldn't have expected, of course."
