CLA up for discussion
Collective Bargaining Agreement The Executive Board of the Swiss Press Association (VSP) has noted growing dissatisfaction among publishers with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
Collective labor agreement The Presidium of the Swiss Press Association (VSP) has noted growing dissatisfaction among publishers with the collective labor agreement (CLA), with more and more VSP members appearing to be prepared to "prefer a contractless situation to the current CLA if necessary", writes the VSP in its invitation to the extraordinary general meeting on April 24. The Executive Committee would like to be instructed by the meeting to enter into negotiations with the social partners. If these "do not lead to any prospect of a satisfactory result", the Executive Committee should be allowed to terminate the CLA. The current CLA is concluded until April 20, 2004 and can be terminated at any time from April 30, 2003.
