Frontwork creates new orientation in the former spinning mill Oberurnen
The sprawling, winding grounds of the former spinning mill in Oberurnen were built in 1833—and have been repeatedly expanded and renovated over the years. Today, the complex houses apartments, offices, and businesses. Frontwork designed the signage for the entire complex from start to finish.

From concept to execution, everything comes from a single source. The challenge was the fine-tuning. For the owners, it was important to meet the different tenants and their respective needs.
The building houses a colorful mix of retail, warehouse, commercial and offices. There is a sports store, a pneushop, a day clinic and various large and small businesses. The area also maintains a small hydroelectric power plant built in 1935, which has been completely renovated in recent years and supplies more electricity than is consumed on the entire site.
The aim was to offer all tenants added value: Visitors, suppliers and tenants should be able to find their way around easily in the traffic-free area.
The local conditions tempted to self-made directions. With our solution, everything has been brought together to form a unified overall picture that is functional, clean and color-coordinated.
