TV 3 violates licenseBakom has ruled: Following the mid-May replacement of "News um 7" with a short news program, TV 3 no longer fulfills its license in the area of information. Although Bakom admits that other formats such as "Fohrler" or "Hautnah" have an informational value in addition to their entertainment value, this is not sufficient to set the focus on information as stipulated in the license. In its order, Bakom gave TV 3 until September 1 to either bring its information offering back into line with the license or to submit an application for a change in the license. However, TV 3 is not planning to do either, according to spokeswoman Andrea Hemmi. The broadcaster will appeal the Bakom ruling to the Uvek, she said. Hemmi: "Bakom has defined the concept of information too narrowly, and there are also errors in the ruling."
