Farner: Andreas Richner heads Governmental Relations
As of October 1, 2016, Andreas Richner joins the management team of Farner Consulting and takes over the Governmental Relations department of the Public Affairs team.
For clients, he is thus a polyvalent contact and stakeholder in dealings with politics and authorities, and provides strategic advice in the increasingly challenging political and regulatory environment between Bern and Brussels. He is responsible for maintaining and expanding the dense network of contacts in the Federal Assembly, political parties, associations, the media and the administration.
Andreas Richner is thus returning to the place where his career began after several years on the client side. After his studies in history, political science and law, he supported Farner clients from various industries as a public affairs and crisis communications consultant from October 1996 to April 2011. Since 2004, he has been a member of the management of Farner Consulting, heading the Bern office from 2009 onwards. In parallel, he completed his Executive Diploma in "Business Law for Managers" at the University of St. Gallen.
From 2011, Andreas Richner was responsible for Nestlé Suisse's relations with authorities, associations and politics as Head of Corporate Affairs. From October 2015, he was briefly Head of Communications & Public Affairs at energy group Alpiq in Olten. At Farner, Richner will accompany and support new and old colleagues with his many years of public affairs experience in strategic consulting for clients and in new client business.
