The Baden-based agency Kommpakt, in cooperation with the Zurich-based agency Zeix, prevailed over its national competitors in a multi-stage selection process for a WTO tender and won over the jury with its concepts.

At the beginning of December 2020, the Baden agency, in cooperation with Zeix, was awarded the contract for the prevention campaign "Safe and Healthy Leadership", which is jointly sponsored by the Federal Coordination Commission for Occupational Safety (EKAS), the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the Swiss Council for Accident Prevention (BFU), Suva and the Swiss Health Promotion Foundation. The campaign covers the years 2022 to 2024, with an extension option to a maximum of 2026.

Promoting safety and health in 400,000 small businesses

For the first time, five major players in Swiss health promotion are launching a joint campaign. The prevention campaign "Safe and Healthy Leadership" closes the supply gap in terms of knowledge and offers of workplace health promotion for small companies in the service sector with 2 to 9 employees.

The prevention campaign targets around 400,000 small businesses with their approximately 1.1 million employees. These companies are active in the service sector, ranging from health practices and engineering firms to small businesses and transport companies. Such microenterprises are typically characterized by a simple structure in which one manager usually combines many managerial activities. The high workload results in an undersupply of knowledge on occupational safety and health.

With a campaign concept for a precision landing

Kommpakt and Zeix were already convincing in the first round of the multi-stage selection process. The jury, made up of members of the sponsoring organization, justified its decision in favor of the two agencies by stating that the submitted campaign concept had achieved the highest score in all selection criteria and that the winning concept also addresses the target group of micro-enterprises at eye level.

In the coming months, Kommpakt and Zeix will develop a broad-based campaign and a user-centered web platform to provide the heterogeneous target group with suitable prevention offers by means of a quick test and an advice page. The prevention campaign will be developed in 2021 together with the sponsoring organization, a group of experts and a peer group of members of the target group, and launched in spring 2022.
