Suva, Switzerland’s largest accident insurance provider, has appointed Monami as its new social media creative lead. This is the result of a multi-stage pitch: Effective immediately, the Zurich-based agency will be responsible for the concept development, production, and community management of Suva’s channels on Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube—in German, French, and Italian. Through its Monami Suva Social Media division, Monami will thus play a central role in the insurance company’s brand communication.

Platform-Native Creation Takes Center Stage

At the heart of the mandate is the translation of existing creative concepts into formats tailored to specific platforms. Monami extends Suva’s campaigns—which are primarily focused on prevention—into the social media space in a consistent and recognizable manner. At the same time, the agency is developing entirely new campaigns and formats for the various thematic areas within the Suva universe.

According to the announcement, the tone and format system for the channels, as well as an editorial framework for translating topics from the campaign calendar to social media, will be developed by the end of the year. Full-scale implementation in line with the campaign calendar will begin in 2027.

Monami as part of an agency trio

Monami operates as part of an agency network: The agency builds on Wirz’s traditional creative concepts and integrates them with Brain & Heart Media’s media planning to create social content designed to perform effectively in both organic and paid channels. This brings together strategy, creative, and media on social media.

Tim Schärer, Head of Creative Strategy at Monami, emphasizes the importance of this integration: «A project like Suva also means bringing many stakeholders together. Many brands still think of strategy, creative, and media too much in silos. We have a strong setup here and a great opportunity to efficiently integrate these disciplines and thereby make a measurable contribution to Suva’s impact goals.»

Romina Gilgen, Social Media Manager at Suva, explains the decision: «We were looking for a partner who understands our mission and can communicate our prevention topics boldly and in a way that’s tailored to each platform. Monami won us over during the pitch with a clear strategic approach and strong creative ideas.»
