Foundry is Startpage's new creative agency
Startpage has found its new creative agency in Foundry. The agency, which is based in Zurich, Berlin and New York, has launched a 360-degree campaign for the search engine, which is regarded as particularly secure, starting first in Berlin.

"People are fed up with big tech companies storing and selling their data," explains Robert E.G. Beens, co-founder and CEO of Startpage. "They're looking for alternatives. And that's exactly what Startpage offers. We're thrilled that our campaign has finally launched - and that it plays on the important issue of data security in such a creative way."
"When I search the Internet for special food for our aging agency dog, a little later I get ads from dog funeral directors. Startpage offers users the unique opportunity to not have to worry about tracking, data collection or privacy breaches while browsing," adds Sacha Moser, Foundry's founder and chief executive. "It's a great and highly relevant product, whose campaign has striking imagery and provocative headlines - and is designed to sustain Startpage in its mission for more privacy on the Internet. By the way, the agency dog is doing wonderfully."
Overall, Foundry was responsible for the strategy, concept, creative execution, production, media strategy and buying of the search engine, which was even recommended by Edward Snowden. The campaign will first be rolled out in Berlin. This will be followed by a Germany-wide launch.
