Magazines The lesbian magazine L-Mag, which has been available at newsstands since the beginning of the year, fits in every handbag The fact that handbags are a hated female cliché for many lesbians fits into the concept: L-Mag is not a fighting magazine. There is room for everything: lifestyle, sex, politics. The L stands for lesbian joie de vivre, for a relaxed approach to lesbianism, according to the editorial. Editor-in-chief Manuela Kay also wants to make advertising customers aware that lesbian women today are relaxed: "Some people think we are aliens. You have to explain that lesbians go to work, smoke cigarettes and drink coffee." L-Mag is published bimonthly with a print run of 30,000 copies by Berlin-based Jackwerth-Verlag.
