One mountain, many stories
Ammarkt has launched a new campaign for Säntis Schwebebahnen.

The Säntis is a star in itself. Mighty and alone, it towers over the picturesque Appenzell landscape and has always enchanted tourists and visitors from all over the world. To promote such a monument, you also need a giant on the other side of the lens. Ammarkt succeeded in winning over Swiss star photographer and Emmy award winner Marco Grob for the new campaign. The impressive campaign for the Säntis cable cars, featuring 23 intimate portraits, has recently gone live.

However, the campaign is by no means about photographing the mountain itself. Rather, it shows the feelings and impressions that the mountain is able to evoke. For this purpose, several protagonists were photographed and filmed in a shoot lasting several days with US-based Marco Grob as they encountered the Säntis. The result is a series of intense portraits. Touching, as folk musician and farmer Hansueli Alder tells about how he accompanied his father to the summit for the first time as a little boy. Inspiring, as the blind student Bernarda Bruno describes the vastness of the sky, which she cannot perceive visually. And enlightening, as Tony Malena, a janitor in New York, talks about what it's like to look out over the peaceful expanses of the Alpstein instead of the noisy urban canyons of Manhattan. These are magical moments that Marco Grob's team has captured. And they are precisely the moments for which thousands of people climb the aerial tramway up the Säntis every year.
The campaign is not a one-way street, of course. On the website Meinsaentis.ch anyone who likes can show "their" Säntis. Until December 31, pictures can be uploaded, liked and shared as the mood takes you. Whoever can inspire the user community the most with their picture and their words will win photographic equipment from cooperation partner Panasonic. This will enable them to take even more beautiful photos of one of Switzerland's most emotional peaks in the future.
