Edipresse gains - thanks to Corbaz and Le Matin

Publishers The Edipresse publishing group in French-speaking Switzerland increased its turnover by 12.7 percent to CHF 395.4 million in the first half of 2003, thanks mainly to the acquisition of the Neuchâtel media house Corbaz and the increase in the shareholding in the Portuguese Edimpresa. With the scope of consolidation remaining the same as in 2002, sales fell by 1.5 percent. The operating result (EBITDA) increased by a total of 10.3 percent to CHF 47.6 million.
