The most important Swiss companies worldwide
RANKING Farner Consulting and R.A.T.E. GmbH are publishing the R.A.T.E. Index Switzerland for the second time. The index consolidates the results of the world's most important company rankings. Nestlé leads the R.A.T.E. Index Switzerland by a wide margin, followed by Novartis and Roche. The top 10 positions also include the leading energy and automation technology group ABB and the major service providers Swisscom, Zurich and SwissRe, followed by Syngenta, LafargeHolcim and Geberit. The R.A.T.E. Index Switzerland is compiled annually by Farner Consulting in collaboration with R.A.T.E. GmbH. It provides a consolidated overview of the evaluation of companies in the 160 most influential and important rankings worldwide. Of the more than 200 Swiss companies listed in the SPI, 26 are represented in the R.A.T.E. Index. Rankings such as Fortune's 'World's Most Admired Companies' are important indicators in the context of active reputation management. They make it easier to position a company in relation to its competitors in reputation-relevant areas such as corporate governance, employer attractiveness, sustainability or innovative capacity. At the same time, rankings make a significant contribution to how companies are perceived by their stakeholders. "The results - whether positive or negative - influence factors such as customer loyalty, employee loyalty and the attractiveness of a company for investors and potential employees. Leading companies can therefore not do without systematically managing rankings and awards and making targeted use of the results of the rankings in their communication with important stakeholder groups," says Roman Geiser, CEO & Managing Partner of Farner Consulting. The R.A.T.E. Index enables companies to systematically monitor rankings and awards worldwide and derive communication strategies and instruments from them. Of particular interest is the fact that the results of around half of all important rankings can be systematically improved through proactive management. As a leading Swiss communications agency, Farner Consulting also uses a strategic approach to ensure that external ratings are communicated effectively to the outside world and used effectively and purposefully internally.
