The smart Zurich newspaper for your smartphone
This spring, the NZZ launched a new e-paper app. Studio Roth&Maerchy developed the launch campaign and implemented it in collaboration with various partners.

The app provides access to the entire NZZ universe, including the *Neue Zürcher Zeitung*, the *NZZ am Sonntag*, and all NZZ supplements and magazines, such as *Bücher am Sonntag*, *NZZ Folio*, and *NZZ Geschichte*. The campaign aimed to make accessing the e-paper app as easy as possible. Through a free trial, users could get a first-hand look at the app. For one month, anyone interested can read the «Neue Zürcher Zeitung» and the «NZZ am Sonntag» as e-papers for free. Only then does the potential customer decide whether to sign up for a paid subscription.
To provide further incentives for active use of the new e-paper app, Studio Roth&Maerchy, together with its partners, has developed a contest: The more often test readers use the app, the better their chances of winning one of three free 10-year subscriptions.

The campaign is cross-media and digital at its core, so the focus is on social media channels and online platforms (including the campaign microsite nzzepaper.ch). In addition, posters and print ads will be featured in over a dozen publications and supplements.
