The MarKom certificate has established itself and continues to exist in the future

The MarKom certificate examination was once again successfully held at seven locations in Switzerland in January 2017. The institution-neutral certificate created by the professional associations involved ensures entry into the marketing and communications industry.

It opens the way to professional exams in marketing, advertising, PR as well as sales and is also a good entry point into these industries as a stand-alone exam. The half-day exam is taken twice a year in a fully electronic format in the various regions of the country. It tests basic knowledge in the areas of business & law, marketing, sales/distribution, marketing communications as well as PR and provides a comprehensive insight into these specialist areas.

With the MarKom certificate, professionals prove that they have mastered the most important basics. This facilitates their (lateral) entry into the relevant professional fields. In the eight years of its existence, the MarKom exam has established itself as an independent qualification and is guaranteed to continue until 2020 and probably far beyond, according to a statement.

At this year's January exam, 609 of the 724 exam graduates earned the coveted MarKom certificate. The overall average of the exam was 4.4 and the pass rate of 84.1 percent was thus in line with the average of previous years.
