The BTM portal is taking shape

It's not official yet, but it's already online: If you go to www.espace.ch, you'll find the new portal from Berner Tagblatt Medien AG (BTM).

Not yet official, but already on the Internet: If you click on www.espace.ch, you will come across the new portal of Berner Tagblatt Medien AG (BTM), which is neither advertised nor complete at present. However, according to an internal e-mail, the aim is to build up the project "step by step under real conditions".www.bzonline.ch, the existing homepage of the Berner Zeitung, is expected to be integrated into espace.ch from mid-February. This also applies to the websites of other BTM media. Espace.ch aims to be more than just a collection of links for the Group's own media: BTM wants to become the leading information provider on the Internet for Bern and the so-called Espace Mittelland (including Solothurn).
The aim is to create an open platform with a range of products and services for the private, business and public sectors. The BTM media will also be linked together. In future, it will not only be possible to access a BZ article in full or in part on espace.ch, but also to combine it with a corresponding audio file from Extra Bern and/or a video file from Tele Bärn.
Links to original documents are planned, as are attempts to involve the public with reader surveys, expert forums, user opinions and competitions. The BTM is also working on an agricultural portal for German-speaking Switzerland as part of espace.ch. (mk)
