Coca-Cola Junior League with Shaqiri
On June 20 and 21, the final weekend of the Swiss Football Association’s (SFV) Coca-Cola Junior League (CCJL) will take place at Neufeld Stadium in Bern. A special highlight will be Xherdan Shaqiri’s all-day appearance on Sunday.
As a brand ambassador on behalf of Coca-Cola, Shaqiri is committed to an active lifestyle and supports Coca-Cola Switzerland's programs for more exercise and sport in everyday life. The Swiss soccer star is visiting Switzerland and will not only be signing autographs and giving a big interview to everyone present at the Neufeld stadium, but will also be giving a training session to selected young people. Other attractions awaiting visitors include a unique Robokeeper and a radar speed check. All football enthusiasts can get active themselves in the fun park (admission free).
Coca-Cola has been supporting young soccer talent in Switzerland since 2003 and promotes the juniors of Swiss grassroots soccer as part of the CCJL. Under the patronage of Coca Cola, around 7,000 talented soccer players across Switzerland compete in the A, B and C categories. Every year, 252 teams compete in 5,500 matches for sporting success and a place in the CCJL final. This takes place as part of a spectacular football festival on June 20 and 21 in the historic Neufeld stadium in Bern. Once again this year, Coca-Cola is offering an eventful supporting program.
With programs such as the CCJL, Coca-Cola has been promoting an active and positive lifestyle for years and encouraging young people and the entire Swiss population to exercise and do more sport in their everyday lives. "In addition to international sporting events, we also support various projects at national and local level in particular. We want to enable young people and their families to be active themselves, go outside and do sport," explains Matthias Schneider, Head of Corporate Communications at Coca-Cola Switzerland.
With the initiative Get-active.ch The company has also been supporting Grümpel tournaments in Switzerland for several years and offers the organizers free service packages with drinks and attractive giveaways.
