Chief Information Officer leaves Publigroupe
Publigroupe is disbanding its «Information & Communication Technology» department. As a direct result, Christopher J. Blackwell, Chief Information Officer and member of the Executive Board, is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities outside the organization.
Christopher J. Blackwell (45), who took up the role of CIO on January 1, 2008, was responsible for the development of Publigroupe's IT strategy and its implementation within the operating units belonging to the Group. In future, all technology-oriented tasks at operational level will be the direct responsibility of the various subsidiaries, according to a press release issued on Friday.
Hans-Peter Rohner, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Publigroupe: "The ICT department under the leadership of Christopher J. Blackwell has implemented key IT projects and business transformation initiatives in line with PubliGroupe's strategic direction. The successful implementation of these initiatives is an important contribution of Christopher J. Blackwell. Christopher J. Blackwell was a member of the management of Publigroupe.
