Campaigneers relies on own manuals for FDP candidates

The federal elections will take place in four months. To win over voters, campaigners for the FDP.The Liberals Switzerland are relying not on campaign posters, but on their own handbook.

In 2023, election posters of candidates will still be hanging on lampposts and house walls throughout Switzerland. They are still used, but more is needed for a successful election. "Election campaigns are undergoing a change: Campaign blueprints that are pulled out of the drawer shortly before the elections are outdated - the effect of lifeless ad and poster battles is visibly diminishing," explains Campaigneers founder Marcel Schuler and emphasizes how important it is for candidates to work with diverse tools.

Instead of posters, the operational capability of the candidates and their networks is becoming increasingly important. It is crucial to mobilize as many people as possible and generate momentum for a campaign - with targeted community building.

Playbook as the basis for the campaign manual

One national party has now taken advantage of this help: all 600 candidates of the FDP.Die Liberalen Schweiz received an expanded manual adapted by the FDP based on a playbook in which campaigners share the knowledge they have gained from more than 22 election and 60 voting campaigns, as a guide for their personal election campaigns.
