Basel advertising agency establishes tourism innovation lab
Think in terms of solutions, not problems. This is the maxim of the recently founded Basel Tourism Innovation Lab. With new concepts and practical ideas, it wants to address tourism companies and organizations for which continuing as before is not a solution.

The creative and creative space for the progressive examination of industry-specific challenges is an amalgamation of the CR Werbeagentur Basel and its creative pool CR Schwarm, staffed with unspoiled minds from university, technical colleges or apprenticeships, with the unconventional Grisons tourism industry expert Oliver Kerstholt.
This interdisciplinary constellation generates ideas and opportunities for positive change in tourism companies and organizations, which are now being presented on the laboratory platform Tourism-innovationlab.ch will be presented online for the first time. Here, the national and international incoming industry will find ready-to-implement concepts for more occupancy, more frequencies and more added value.
With this, but also with individual solutions for specific problems, the Tourism Innovation Lab is to become an inspiring, pragmatic and powerful progress partner for far-sighted industry exponents who recognize that the post-Corona and VUCA world demands fundamentally new ways of thinking.
Practical answers instead of months of analysis
The new Basel laboratory provides practical answers to questions that are driving the industry around and in front of it, which are intended to take effect quickly and efficiently. Among other things, there are solutions for filling gaps in the market or participating in trends, for the hotel that finds that the booking situation is miserable in six weeks, or for tapping exclusive distribution channels where the competition is not present.
"There are already enough consultants who spend months analyzing. With us, there are concrete answers to real problems," says co-founder Oliver Kerstholt. And the St. Moritz native also names the motivation for the new creation of the Ideas Lab: "We simply like to see someone overtake the competition instead of chasing after it."
