BPRA: Andreas Hugi new president

Roman Geiser, CEO and Managing Partner of Farner Consulting, stepped down as chair of the Swiss Public Relations Agencies Association (BPRA) on January 1, 2014, after four years in the role, handing the position over to Andreas Hugi.

Andreas Hugi is Managing Partner of Furrer Hugi & Partner, an agency he co-founded with offices in Bern, Zurich and Brussels, and has been a member of the BPRA Board since 2012. Roman Geiser has represented the association's interests as president for the past four years and has developed the association further. According to the press release, his term of office saw a significant increase in membership from 21 to 28 agency members, the introduction of chapters (specialist groups) and the intensification of the quality certification of agencies in accordance with the CMS standard. Roman Geiser will continue to serve on the BPRA Board as a delegate to the international agency umbrella organization ICCO.

At the last general meeting, Tanja Hollenstein was also elected as a new member of the BPRA Board. Tanja Hollenstein is a partner at the Paroli agency in Zurich. The other Board members Martin Zahner and Reto Wilhelm were confirmed in their positions on the Board.
