BaZ waives the Agenda fee for major customers

Newspapers Since September, an entry in the "Ausgehen heute" events calendar of the Basler Zeitung (BaZ) has been subject to a charge.5 to 20 francs per entry has led to an outcry among local event organizers and threats of boycott. Last Friday, BaZ publisher Matthias Hagemann and publishing director Daniel Sommer therefore met with representatives of the cultural scene. They brought a new offer with them: Anyone who places advertisements in the BaZ for more than 20,000 francs a year will not have to pay for "Ausgehen heute". However, only very few organizers could benefit from the new free offer.
