Bakom and Tele 24 reconcile

The dispute between the Federal Office of Communications (Bakom) and Tele 24 over the accounting records of the defunct station has been settled.

The dispute between the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) and Tele 24 over the accounting documents of the discontinued broadcaster has been settled: OFCOM had documents confiscated in order to clarify irregularities in the declaration of advertising income. Former station boss Roger Schawinski then had the documents sealed and lodged an appeal with the Federal Supreme Court. The parties have now reached an agreement, as Tele-24 lawyer Armin Zucker confirmed in press reports. The sealing has been lifted and Bakom is allowed to study the documents for five weeks. Tele 24 is withdrawing its appeal.
