Baier and Schneider move together
Urs Schneider, who served as Wolfgang Mecklenburg’s right-hand man until the end of April, will join Robert C. Baier’s firm in Zurich’s Seefeld district effective June 1. The two media professionals plan to pursue their own separate careers.
Urs Schneider, Wolfgang Mecklenburg's right-hand man until the end of April, will move in with Robert C. Baier in Zurich's Seefeld district on June 1. On the one hand, the two media professionals each want to be active on their own, i.e. by moving in together, they want to take advantage of the synergy opportunities offered by an office community with a shared infrastructure. "We will do certain things together," Baier reveals. It was only in January that Baier's Managing Director Petra Kreussler and Rolf Altwegg completed a management buyout, transferring all employees and clients of the Baier media agency to the new company The Generation Media (WW 6/01). The newly founded agency was forced to move out and set up its own premises on Alfred-Escher-Strasse in Zurich in mid-March.
In the future, Baier wants to turn to "specialty chemistry in the area of media planning and operate more in niches," as he says. "Media audit in new quality, optimization of media buying, creative media planning" - these are some of the focal points he will devote himself to in the future. (dse)
