Fifteen nominees are in the running for the Swiss Sponsorship Awards
The twelve-member jury of the Swiss Sponsorship Awards has nominated 15 companies in four categories. The decision is made by the live voting of the award visitors.

As the weighting of the jury is now only 50 percent, the final winners will only be chosen during the awards ceremony on February 8, 2018 at the Park Hyatt in Zurich. A live vote will be held with all visitors to the awards in attendance. An overview of the successful nominees, sorted according to the jury's current assessment:
Sports sponsorship
1st Swisscom World Ski Championships St. Moritz
The long-standing main sponsor of Swiss-Ski wanted to use the momentum of the Alpine World Ski Championships in St. Moritz to emotionalize the brand as a "partner to ski fans" and prove its technological leadership. The campaign "#SnowDrawings - United in the snow. Connected on the net" culminated in a mega snow artwork on Lake Champfèr - in the middle of the World Cup action. Fan messages collected by Swisscom for the Swiss-Ski World Championship team were written into the snow of St. Moritz by GPS-controlled robot cutters and thus made visible to the athletes.
2nd BKW snow sports commitment
BKW is undergoing a fundamental transformation away from being a Bernese electricity supplier to becoming a leading Swiss energy and infrastructure service provider. The snow sports campaign - the involvement with Swiss Ski and the activation via TV commercials with Swiss ski stars - addresses key issues relating to the future of energy. This is intended to make a relevant contribution to national awareness building and repositioning.
3rd Coca-Cola Junior League
Coca-Cola has been supporting juniors in Swiss grassroots football for 15 years now. Every year, around 10,000 talented footballers across Switzerland take part in 5,500 games in the Coca-Cola Junior League. Today, the Coca-Cola Junior League is a "Football Passion Platform" that also serves the digital touchpoints of teenagers with interesting content from stars such as Xherdan Shaqiri. The two-day final is celebrated as a "Coca-Cola Football Festival" with up to 7,000 spectators.
4th Banque Mirabaud Bol d'Or and sailing
Since 2007, the private bank Mirabaud has been the title sponsor of the Bol d'Or on Lake Geneva, the world's largest regatta on an inland waterway with more than 520 boats taking part. Mirabaud takes a 360-degree approach to its sailing sponsorship: from event sponsorship to cross-marketing activities and a partnership with the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross). The aim is to reach out to new potential customers as well as to deepen relationships with current clientele.
Cultural sponsorship
1st Parisienne La Fabrik Openair Frauenfeld
"La Fabrik" was voted "best sponsor appearance" and "best party location" by 10,000 participants at Openair Frauenfeld. A factory area was created on over 2,500 square meters, into which "La Fabrik Stage" (3rd official stage of the festival), "La Fabrik Klub" (electro club), "La Fabrik Kantine" (pop-up restaurant) and "La Fabrik Garten" (with a large garden area) were built. BAT's Parisienne brand was not only able to increase awareness and generate a positive image transfer from the festival to the brand, but also benefited from many trials and entries in its own database (CRM).
2. Swisscom Energy Air
Tickets for Energy Air cannot be bought with any money in the world, they can only be won. With the music sponsorship, Swisscom wants to offer the young target group of the new inOne XTRA brand access to exclusive events. The communicative guiding principle "Don't miss anything together" was implemented emotionally with a 360-degree approach, including a 360-degree virtual reality experience and the Energy Air Fancam, which created a personal memento for every visitor by means of a giant 360-degree crowd selfie.
3rd LGT Young Soloists
The LGT Young Soloists are a string ensemble of highly talented soloists aged between 12 and 23 who have won more than 80 national and international prizes between them. The Liechtenstein princely private bank LGT organizes worldwide tours for the ensemble, facilitates CD and DVD recordings and charity concerts. LGT also organizes its own concerts for clients and employees every year, and the content developed is used in line with LGT's multi-channel strategy.
4th UPC Zurich Film Festival
For six years, UPC has supported the Zurich Film Festival as a main sponsor. It focuses on social media activities, customer invitations to the UPC Soirée and a connection to the topic of "film" on its own channels. In 2017, for example, it organized a talk with mobile film expert Sandeep Abraham in cooperation with Samsung and offered UPC customers a "ZFF Special" on the OnDemand platform.
Corporate sponsorship
1. natural gas Swiss Volunteers
Many large and small sporting events can only take place thanks to volunteers. By supporting the "Swiss Volunteers" platform, the Swiss gas industry not only wants to fulfill its social responsibility and create a positive image transfer for the natural gas brand, but also promote volunteer work in sport in general. Almost 50,000 volunteers have now registered and organized themselves to work at sporting events via the platform.
2 Fromm - Young sports talents
The Fromm Group is an SME in the field of securing transportation goods. The family-owned company began supporting talented athletes - especially in tennis - early on and paying them scholarships for school and sports development. Since some of them - such as Stan Wawrinka or Timea Bacsinszky - have also celebrated international success, the company has benefited from the advertising effect and a strong motivation boost among its own employees. At the beginning of 2016, Fromm expanded its commitment to many more young athletes with the Fromm Swiss Tennis Top Junior Team.
3rd Zenith Watches - Open de Golf Asage
The Zenith watch brand is the main partner of the Swiss alumni association ASAGE, which represents 21 universities in France, Spain and Switzerland. With this commitment, the watch brand aims in particular to promote exchange between the various alumni associations and to gain access to a target group that is difficult to reach. To this end, it organizes a golf trophy, the "Open de Golf Asage".
International sponsoring
1st IWC Goodwood
The official timepiece IWC invited VIP and media guests to the 75th Goodwood Member Meetings with 20,000 visitors in order to launch the new "Ingenieur collection" at the same time. Through a variety of activities on site and via media - in the sense of an edutainment approach - IWC succeeded in drawing the link to the origin of the "Ingenieur collection" from 1955. These included "The Scott Brown Trophy Race", "Vintage Garage - the IWC Hub", the "IWC in Track Moment", "Behind the scenes paddock tours", "Clay Pidgeon Shooting" and much more. The results were extraordinary, with a reach of 6.25 million people on social media alone.
2nd LGT Young Soloists
For the first time, the jury nominated a project in two categories. The LGT Young Soloists engagement also convinced the jury for the nomination as "International Sponsorship" of the year.
3rd Davidoff Art Initiative
The Davidoff Art Initiative has existed since 2012 and focuses on the Caribbean region, where a large part of Davidoff's production and workforce is located. It promotes contemporary art and culture, strengthens art organizations and supports the exchange between the Caribbean and the world through scholarships, the Davidoff Art Studios and a residency program, among other things. The results of the Art Initiative are communicated through various channels and made visible to the outside world in the stores.
4th Richard Mille - Raphael Nadal
Thanks to its collaboration with Raphael Nadal, watchmaker Richard Mille has made history. It has developed the lightest and most resistant mechanical watch in the world, which weighs less than 19 grams including the strap, and which the top tennis player wears during every tennis match. Nadal is not just a brand ambassador, but has been an employee of Richard Mille since 2010. In this role, he works with Richard Mille on new models that are suitable for athletes during sport and helps the brand to become better known and more sought-after worldwide.
