Submission for Best of Swiss Apps 2024 has started
The starting signal for the "Best of Swiss Apps" Award 2024 has been given. App projects can be submitted until September 9. The new "Best of Swiss Software" award and Ti&m's "Hack an app" award for children and young people are also included.
The sponsors of "Best of Swiss Apps" are once again launching the search for the best Swiss apps of the year. Around 50 jurors in eleven competition categories will competently assess the submitted projects. Each jury evaluates the submitted projects according to various category-specific criteria developed together with experts. Gold, silver and bronze medals and the Master of Swiss Apps are up for grabs. The Submission deadline is September 9, 2024.
Special category "Accessibility"
The BoSA special category Accessibility is a joint initiative with the Swiss Digital Inclusion Alliance ADIS. It focuses on the inclusive society and recognizes projects that address the needs of people with disabilities in an exemplary manner.
In addition, the sponsors of Best of Swiss Apps are once again receiving support this year from Swico, the trade association for the ICT and online industry. This will give three start-ups the chance to submit a project in up to two competition categories for the "Best of Swiss Apps" award free of charge - worth CHF 1,350.
The Start-up projects take part in the competition on a regular basis and are assessed by the expert juries of the respective categories. Start-ups that have been entered in the commercial register as a stock corporation or limited liability company for less than five years are eligible. Swico membership is not required. The application period runs until August 15, 2024.
Inspiring the next generation for IT
After a successful start in 2023, the "Hack an app" award on board again. The award, which is based on Ti&m's IT youth development program, recognizes the best app for children between the ages of 11 and 14.
New: the "Best of Swiss Software" award
As part of this year's edition, the sponsors are working with "Best of Swiss Software" is introducing a new award to find the best Swiss individual software and system integration projects. From 2024, the previous BoSA category "Enterprise" will be part of the "Best of Swiss Software" award and renamed "Business Solutions".
Award Night at the Kongresshaus
The "Best of Swiss Apps", "Best of Swiss Software" and "Hack an app" awards will be presented on November 19, 2024 at the Kongresshaus in Zurich.
