That was the Leader Digital Award 2025
Eastern Switzerland has once again honored its digital pioneers: Four outstanding projects were honored at the Leader Digital Award 2025 on Thursday at the Einstein Congress St.Gallen.
With 31 projects submitted, the award received a record number of entries, according to the sponsors. The nine finalists presented themselves to over 160 guests from the worlds of business, administration, education and politics. The focus was on the question of how digitalization can succeed in concrete terms - and which solutions are already having an impact today.
"The winners in the categories of companies, start-ups and organizations, as well as the audience award winner, impressed with their practical digitalization, technical quality and social relevance," reads a press release on the award.
In the "Company" category, Idip Solution from Sirnach received the award for its Idip low-code platform for the digital mapping of industrial processes. Other nominated projects were Kybun Joya with a self-developed ERP system and Nägele-Capaul with an IoT platform NC IoT.
Studyond from St.Gallen won in the "Start-ups" category with an AI-supported matching platform for companies, universities and students. Other nominated projects were Flawa iQ and its smart first aid kit and Oase Health Solution with its cAirBot platform for care support.
In the "Organizations" category, the winner was KVA Thurgau from Weinfelden. The company operates an e-container portal for intelligent route planning in waste disposal logistics. Other nominated projects came from Abraxas ("Abraxas Voting" - digital solution to support elections and voting) and Technischen Betriebe Wil ("Deine Energie" energy consulting tool).
The audience award went to the Abraxas team.
Varied evening with lots of insights
Jacqueline Gasser-Beck, President of the St.Gallen City Parliament and Head of the Teaching Innovation Lab at the University of St.Gallen, kicked off the Award Night. In her keynote speech "AI competence as a success factor", she showed how targeted further training is the basis for successful digital transformation.
The gala evening, hosted by Daniela Lager, included exciting project presentations, a live vote and also offered plenty of space for exchange, inspiration and new contacts. The start-up Robonnement from Altstätten provided an additional digital accent: it provided two service robots to assist the staff in distributing the dessert.
