24 works nominated for the Swiss Print Award
In 2018, the Swiss Print Award is once again set to spark an «enthusiasm for print.» The jury has selected 24 print works as finalists.

Printed matter is more appealing, eventful, transformable, diverse and high-quality than any other medium. Print offers orientation, appreciation, individuality, exclusivity, sustainability, loyalty, passion, inspiration and entertainment. In short, print is a permanent fixture in the media mix and appeals to all the senses as an impetus for all types of communication.
Agencies, publishers, printers, finishers and bookbinders demonstrated this with their imaginative print products at the Swiss Print Award 2018 competition and vividly demonstrated how attractive printed paper can be. And thus "whets the appetite for print".

52 submissions
The competition for the Swiss Print Awards 2018 is over, the winners have been chosen - but the jury has still agreed not to disclose the results. Because some suspense should remain until the awards ceremony on the evening of June 5, 2018 at the Zunfthaus zur Waag in Zurich.
But this much in advance: A total of 52 entries were submitted for the Swiss Print Award 2018. After the undoubtedly tough preliminary judging, 24 made it to the final round and thus to the shortlist for the award winners in the categories commercial printing, publications and packaging.
The large number of entries made preliminary judging unavoidable, and inevitably some of the entries were eliminated. However, these were not defective printed matter, but cleanly produced works that perhaps only lacked a sparkling idea, some originality or the coherence of the overall appearance beyond today's usual standard.
