ADC judging 2014: 7 Gold, 4 Evergreen

The ADC Switzerland has honored the best works of the past year. 

Over the course of two days, under the direction of jury president Markus. Over two days, around one hundred of the best Swiss creatives judged works from the past year - together with this year's guest juror, Swiss director and author Dani Levy. After two days of judging, 7 gold, 29 silver and 61 bronze winners were announced. And four evergreens.

The award-winning campaigns are particularly striking: A spectacular campaign that touches, entertains or moves people and thus spreads via social media is particularly successful in advertising terms, according to the ADC press release.

The gold work

Film category: Pro Infirmis "Mannequins" - Jung von Matt/Limmat
The online film about the creation of the disabled mannequins on Bahnhofstrasse is an impressive example of how creative ideas can now be disseminated worldwide via social networks and PR. The film now has over ten million views on YouTube. The campaign with the disabled mannequins and the film were awarded silver in four other categories, making them the main winners of this year's jury.

Promotion category: Swisscom "All eyes on S4" - Heimat advertising agency
At the cross-media event for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4, passers-by could win an S4 if they did not take their eyes off the S4 for an hour. The participants were distracted with various crazy activities. The campaign could be followed online on major portals.

Category Posters: Max Shoes "Stunning collection" - Jung von Matt/Limmat
The ADC jury also awarded gold for the amazing and striking image idea and its great, fashionable realization.

Creative Media category: "Days of Hope" - Saatchi & Saatchi
In February 2013, the weather report on television was presented by a homeless person - because no one can explain the cold better than a homeless person. The impressive campaign drew attention to Pastor Sieber's social work in Switzerland. It was part of a European "Days of Hope" initiative.

Category Radio: BMW Motorcycles "Adventure" - Serviceplan Suisse
What terrible things can happen when a motorcycle suddenly breaks down in the middle of a distant country is presented in this radio spot series in an amazing, highly entertaining and relevant way.

Design category: Rotpunkt pharmacy magazine "Hä?" - Studio Marcus Kraft
A completely fresh kind of "pharmacist's booklet": one that is aimed at young people and their needs and questions about their health, and whose design is anything but sickly and old-fashioned.

Category Illustration: Zurich Chamber Orchestra "Fantastic Orchestra" -Havas Worldwide Zurich
Well-known classical works were lavishly illustrated as an amazing orchestra: a feast for the eyes that the jury honored with gold.

The evergreens

Since last year, the ADC has been recognizing excellent campaigns that have been based on the same central idea for at least three years up to the present day and thus demonstrate strategic and conceptual continuity at the highest level.

Switzerland Tourism "Sebi & Paul" - Leo Burnett Switzerland
The Switzerland Tourism campaign with the two rustic mountain men Sebi & Paul was awarded an evergreen. They have been national and international advertising ambassadors for our tourism for years.

Federal Office of Public Health "Love Life" - Havas Worldwide Zurich
With "Love Life", the Federal Office of Public Health first managed to address the topic of "Stop Aids" and later sexually transmitted diseases in a life-affirming, fresh way instead of with a warning finger.

Graubünden "Gian & Giachen" - Jung von Matt/Limmat
The ibexes Gian and Giachen in the Graubünden campaign joke about skiers, tease bikers and also take the mickey out of each other - in commercials, as a travel agency, as a weather app or "Bockcast".

Sunday newspaper "Babushkas" - Y&R Group Switzerland
For more than six years, the Babushka campaign has shown in an amazing way that the Sonntagszeitung gets to the bottom of a wide variety of topics.
