ADC Festival 2013: Hamburg venue

At its meeting on August 20, 2012, the Executive Board of the Art Directors Club for Germany (ADC) selected Hamburg as the host city for the ADC Festival in 2013 and subsequent years.

The decision was a close one, as both ADC sections from Hamburg and Frankfurt had presented extremely innovative concepts for the further development of the festival, according to a statement on Tuesday. In the end, the decision was made in favor of Hamburg, as the change of location brings with it new partnerships and potential, the statement continued. Negotiations with the city of Hamburg, potential partners and service providers will begin this week and should be completed by mid-September.

During the meeting, the board once again thanked all the partners involved in Frankfurt am Main for the exceptionally good cooperation over the past three years, which had ensured that the festival was raised to a new level that Hamburg can now build on. With the involvement of the ADC sections in Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart, the ADC creative club had re-discussed the location of the ADC Festival nationwide. The largest industry gathering of creatives from the German-speaking world has been successfully held in Frankfurt am Main for the past three years. Hamburg and the Main metropolis were finally shortlisted as the location for the next three years.
