ADC: The award winners are known

The Art Directors Club Switzerland has made its decision. The ADC awards ceremony took place Sunday evening at the Schiffbau.

This year, the ADC awarded four gold cubes, 21 silver and 66 bronze. This was chaired by Frank Bodin, CEO of Euro RSCG Zurich. 129 other works made it onto the shortlist.

The first Gold Cube in the "Digital" category went to Jung von Matt/Limmat for the Graubünden campaign "Einbündnerung". Two further Gold Cubes were awarded in the "Advertisements" category: One for the "See you later" ad, which JWT/Fabrikant designed for Hakle's recycled toilet paper. The second in this category went to the agency Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett for their Fleurop ad "Gekittete Beziehung". The fourth gold award was also presented to the Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett agency, in the "Text" category, for the Swiss Life type campaign "Wendesätze". This campaign was the most successful of the year, winning a further silver award in both the "Advertisements" and "Posters" categories. The campaign owed its success to sentences such as "I'll never get married in church?" or "Things are great at the company, but we're now on short-time working."

In addition to the gold cubes, there were also some silver cubes to be distributed - this year there were 21. SFLB and Jung von Matt/Limmat were among the most awarded agencies. The latter won a silver cube each in the Digital category for the "Graubünden Weather App" and "Götte Optik Banner für Kurzsichtige", as well as a silver cube for Wirz Werbung and the "Ikea Opening Rothenburg". SFLB won twice in the Film category, receiving a silver cube each for Micasa's "Name Promotion" and Switzerland Tourism's "Weather Prophet". In the Direct Marketing and Promotion category, the jury awarded a silver cube for "Kalender 1984" from the Ökopool advertising pool by Ruf Lanz, for the "Pfister Polster" promotion by Walker and also for the Micasa "Namen-Promotion" by SFLB. In the Radio category, there was a silver cube for "Peugeot Bremsweg" by Euro RSCG Zurich. And in the small-but-fine category, the film "Intercom" by Ruf Lanz for the Selmi sound studio was honored with a silver cube. The Mercedes "Brakeheads" by Jung von Matt/Limmat, the Hyposwiss text ads "Expect the Expected" by Walker, the Swiss Life "Wendesätze" by SFLB and the Heks campaign "Der unichtigste Zürcher" by Advico Young & Rubicam won in the advertisements category. In the posters category, the VBZ "cinema slides for car drivers" by Ruf Lanz and again the Swiss Life "Wendesätze" by Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett were each awarded a silver cube. In the Design category, the "Soirée graphique" newspaper from the Komet advertising agency and the design of the Kern & Sammet frozen food products each won silver, while in the Photo and Illustration category, the Neutral agency received a silver cube for the Pringle of Scotland Winter 2011 campaign - photographed by Walter Pfeiffer - and Komet for the "Festi'Neuch" festival, and in the Art Direction category, the art design of the "Terra Chips New Flavour" was ultimately awarded a silver cube.
