Last but not least: Unfortunate title setting

Last week, the Oberhessische Presse Marburg had a bit of bad luck with its headlines in its coverage of the Syrian conflict.

"Westerwelle offers to destroy gas" - a somewhat problematic formulation when it comes to German approaches to solving problems. Even if gas is really to be destroyed here - Syrian poison gas. The editor in charge not only overshot the mark with the main title, but cemented the faux pas with the accompanying subtitle: "Foreign Minister: 'We have considerable experience'". The question is: Why doesn't anyone notice this? Or has the newspaper already rationalized away the place that should notice it? (hae)
