Last but not least: The advertising idea greets you every day
A commercial demonstrates the differences between broadband and Google Fiber, which is based on fiber-optic technology. The idea behind it seems familiar to us.
Google has long ceased to be a search engine operator and is now working on driverless cars and the eternal life. The ambition of using the Google Fiber to also take the broadband internet infrastructure into their own hands. The reason for this commitment is obvious: whoever operates the infrastructure controls all user internet traffic and thus collects data more conveniently and efficiently. The fiber optic technology used is said to be up to 100 times faster than the broadband technology in use today. 1100 American communities applied to be equipped with this infrastructure by Google. Kansas City (Kansas) and Kansas City (Missouri) were selected. Austin (Texas) followed in April 2013, and now Google's data highway is also to be built in Provo (Utah). To ensure that as many residents as possible learn to appreciate the benefits of the Google blessing, the difference to conventional technology will be demonstrated with a commercial.

The idea - especially in connection with broadband Internet - is strongly reminiscent of the UPC Cablecom campaign by Vizner Borel, from which the TV commercial of the year 2012 comes from. Should Google one day enter the Swiss broadband market, the search engine giant would probably have to come up with a new idea. (hae)
