Last but not least: Shady spot

Free Wi-Fi is a great way to get people to seek out the shade. Even though their own health should really be reason enough.

People need sun. But not too much and not for too long. Nevertheless, even in the 21st century, many beachgoers still seem to consider their complexion more important than their long-term health. Despite years of educational campaigns about skin cancer, many sun worshippers think that a little sun cream is all it takes. But it's not, because what really helps against the dangers of the blazing sun is shade.

A little sun protection on your feet is not enough - shade would be better.

Preaching and deterring often doesn't help much. It is better to entice and reward. With free Internet, the smartphone generation can be wrapped around your finger anytime and anywhere. So it's hardly surprising that the Belgian agency Happiness relies on wifi for the Liga Contra el Cancer to get bathers out of the sun: A patch of shade on the beach that offers free internet. It's a great idea, but above all it's a convincing implementation. This is because the signal "moves" with the course of the sun and shade and is limited precisely to the shaded area. According to Case-Movie, this should work quite accurately. (hae)
