Strange clientele

For its new global campaign, the streaming service Spotify has taken advantage of the fact that it knows its own clientele pretty well.

The global streaming market leader from Sweden recently launched its biggest OHH campaign to date. The campaign is global, but the approach is local. In some cases, even quite personal. That's because Spotify has looked around in its own user data, evaluated and dived into the strange, exciting world of its own listeners.

A year in which many people didn't act as you'd expect - whether it's Brexit or Christmas carols listened to over the summer. The campaign created in-house is too endearing to ask the data protection question. It's probably all in the T&Cs anyway. Or permission has been obtained. Or some cases are made up. Either way, cheers to a weird year. (hae)
